Adult Protective Services (APS)

Government organization at the county level designed to investigate and report claims of adult/elder abuse including neglect, abandonment, financial, sexual and physical violence. Organization also responsible for investigating and report claims of abuse against adults with disabilities.


Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are key life tasks that people need to manage, in order to live at home and be fully independent. These tasks include walking, feeding, dressing, bathing and transferring.
